Cedar Stripper Construction

Here are some constuction photos of my cedar stripper. Click on the smaller images to see them enlarged.

bottom

This is the bottom after fiberglassing. The keel was set into the wet resin and screwed on through the bottom from the inside.

inside

This is the inside after fiberglassing.

inside bow

This is inside the bow before adding gunnals and deck.

seats

I used plastic lace to "cane" the seats. While the lace is synthetic, the cane patern is true. All the trimmings are oak.

keel

This is the bottom after sanding and varnishing but before adding the brass keel-strip.

gunnals

This is the inside and gunnals after sanding and varnishing.

deck

This is the deck before adding the brass strip.
