It's an eighth of a mile from Happy Hollows to the Grotto. The trail follows the creek south east to a drop off filled with hugh boulders. At this point the trail seemed to disappear. We went back to the hollows, where I had left my backpack, to enjoy a lunch of chicken sandwhiches, cheese, apples, chocolate, chocolate chip cookies.

After lunch, the girls decided to take a nap, and I decided to go back down the trail....
